This animated TVC was created to show people how to use a new phone app, pluk, which could send special offers and extra content to your smartphone, pretty long project, but we were all pretty stoked with how it came out in the end!

New Season Launch Promo
The first drawing for this project actually came from random doodles on the very unproductive day directly after the Mediaworks Christmas party... but the swirly shapes slowly started to evolve and were used throughout both the TVC and the New Season Launch Promo.
First concept drawing... didn't intend this to be for anything really, but ended up basing the graphics in the TVC on this hungover doodle...
Started to clean it up a bit, giving the swirls and ribbons a hard-vector look, they were actually created in Cinema 4D, at the time it seemed like the easiest way, until I started using 3D stroke in After Effects. The little symbols are Helveticons.
This was the first storyboard, it ended up being a bit different in the end.
Still from the final animation, I think it came out pretty good! Crazy that this was based on that doodle.
Another still from the animation, again using those same swirly shapes, have to say I got pretty sick of trapcode 3D stroke after this project...
This was just a 3D grid thing I came up with to show all of the new season shows on TV3, as well as housing some competition text, it made for some pretty cool transitions.
